The following project has completed the solicitation process. This item is presented to the Audit and Accountability Committee for review prior to full City Council for consideration.
Federal Representation Services - The Government and Public Affairs Department issued an RFP seeking federal representatives responsible for supporting and implementing the City’s federal legislative program and a strategic plan. The strategic plan would include timelines, goals, objectives and expected outcomes to advance the City’s priorities. Representatives will continuously monitor legislative and regulatory activities, develop strategies to advance City’s interests, schedule meetings with elected officials and government agency representatives, and coordinate with City staff and the local representatives.

Due diligence conducted for the respondents to the above solicitation included a search of federal and state debarments lists, prohibited political contributions, conflicts of interest, delinquent City/County taxes, outstanding payments to the City, payment of state franchise fees as well as a search of the internet for pertinent business information. No findings were noted that would prevent the City from awarding to the selected vendor.
This item was presented to the Intergovernmental Relations Committee on June 12, 2019 and recommended to move forward for Council consideration. Staff recommends committee approval to proceed with scheduling this item for full City Council consideration.
