Joint City/County Citizen's Bond Oversight Commission Annual Report
SUMMARY:
Briefing on the Annual Report by the Citizen Bond Oversight Commission on the City's 2012-2017 Bond Program that was approved by voters in May 2012. Staff will also provide an update on the 2007-2012 Bond Program.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
In May 2012, the voters passed a total of five propositions for the 2012-2017
Bond Program totaling $596 Million. The Program included 140 projects which were designed to improve and enhance existing, as well as to acquire or construct, new local streets, bridges, sidewalks, drainage facilities, parks, libraries and other public facilities that will address the infrastructure and community needs.

The five propositions within the Bond Program are as follows:
Proposition One: (41) projects - $337.44 million - Streets, Bridges & Sidewalks Improvements
Proposition Two: (17) projects - $128.03 million - Drainage & Flood Control Improvements
Proposition Three: (68) projects - $87.15 million - Parks, Recreation & Open Space Improvements
Proposition Four: (11) projects - $29.03 million - Library, Museum & Cultural Arts Improvements
Proposition Five: (3) projects - $14.35 million - Public Safety Facility Improvements

The Executive Bond Committee meets monthly to review the progress of the Bond Program and ensures it remains on schedule. The Executive Bond Committee is chaired by the City Manager and includes several Executive Leadership Team members to include the City Attorney, the Chief Financial Officer, the TCI Director, and the Budget Director. In addition, staff meets bi-monthly with the Joint City/County Citizen's Bond Oversight Commission (CBOC) to discuss the status of the Bond Program.
