SUBJECT:
Ordinance ratifying payment in the amount of $818,250.43 for Election Services provided by the Bexar County Elections Office for the Saturday, June 8, 2019 Run-off Election for Mayor and Council Districts 2, 4, and 6. Funding in the amount of $600,000 is available in the FY 2019 Municipal Elections General Fund Adopted Budget and $218,250 is authorized to be appropriated from the FY 2019 General Fund.
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance pays for election services for the City of San Antonio’s Run-off Election held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 for Mayor and Council Districts 2, 4, and 6. Said amount could not be determined until after the General Election.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City entered into a contract with Bexar County on March 21, 2019 via Ordinance 2019-03-21-0231 to conduct the General and Runoff Election.
ISSUE:
Adoption of this Ordinance will approve payment made to Bexar County in the amount of $818,250.43 for the conduct of the Saturday, June 8, 2019 Run-off Election.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Office of the City Clerk requests approval of the Contract for Election Services with Bexar County.
