SUBJECT:

Mayoral Appointments of City Councilmembers

SUMMARY:

A)                     Appointing Councilmembers John Courage and Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia to the San Antonio Housing Trust Finance Corporation for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2021.

B)                     Appointing Councilmembers John Courage and Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia to the San Antonio Housing Trust Public Facility Corporation for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2021.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

At the beginning of each City Council Term, the Mayor makes appointments to Boards and Commissions.  A memorandum designating the Councilmember's appointment was submitted to the Office of the City Clerk for processing.

ISSUE:

Board appointments require full City Council approval.

ALTERNATIVES:

At the beginning of each City Council Term, the Mayor makes appointments to Boards and Commissions.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

RECOMMENDATION:

In order to proceed with the direction of the Mayor, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
