Post-Solicitation Briefing on the Organic Materials Processing Contract Solicitation
SUMMARY:
Staff will provide a briefing on the solicitation process for the organic materials processing contract. This is a follow-up presentation, post solicitation, for this high profile contract.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On December 4, 2019, the Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) presented a pre-solicitation briefing on the solicitation for an organic materials processing contract. The current organic material processing contract is with New Earth and will expire on December 31, 2020. A Request for Proposal (RFP) was issued on December 13, 2019. Responses were due on February 28, 2020. There were two respondents to the RFP. Those responses were evaluated and a recommendation will be made based on the criteria established in the pre-solicitation briefing.
