Appointment of an Applicant to the Municipal Golf Association - San Antonio (MGA-SA) (1 slot)
SUMMARY:
Appointing Samuel E. Luna, Jr. to the Municipal Golf Association - San Antonio (MGA-SA) for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 2, 2015.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Quality of Life Council Committee convened on January 20, 2015 to review and recommend an applicant for appointment to the Municipal Golf Association SA (MGA-SA). The Committee recommended Samuel E. Luna, Jr to fill the slot vacated by the resignation of Board Member Lou Miller for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 2, 2015.
ISSUE:
The City Council is required to approve the recommendation of the Quality of Life Council Committee in order for the appointments to be effective.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Office of the City Clerk will continue to advertise vacancies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
