The following high profile project has completed the solicitation process. This item is presented to the Audit and Accountability Committee for review prior to full City Council for consideration:

SAPD Concealable Body Armor - The City of San Antonio solicited offers for concealable body armor to be utilized by the San Antonio, Aviation and Park Police Departments for the protection of uniformed police personnel. The evaluation process included ballistics and wear testing prior to award recommendation. Under the current Collective Bargaining Agreement, members of the Labor Relations Committee are the sole evaluators responsible for the selection of all equipment to be used by uniformed police officers.
