SUBJECT: Pre-Solicitation Briefing for Homeownership Housing and Rental Housing Development Funding

The Neighborhood and Housing Services Department (NHSD) will present a pre-solicitation briefing for Homeownership Housing and Rental Housing Development Funding. This briefing will allow an opportunity for input and direction from Committee members.
This pre-solicitation briefing will cover the estimated contract value, projected timeline, high profile designation, scope of the project, terms of the contract, proposed scoring criteria, evaluation committee members and project considerations, local preference program applicability, veteran owned small business preference program applicability and SBEDA Program requirements.
Using the HOME funds (and possibly CDBG) for this solicitation, NHSD will provide gap funding for affordable rental housing development and affordable homeownership housing development projects. Outcomes will include acquisition, rehabilitation, resale or new construction of homeownership housing, and acquisition, rehabilitation or new construction of rental housing.
