Board Appointments
SUMMARY:
A) Appointing Paul B. Martin, Jr. (District 8) to the San Antonio Housing Trust for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 31, 2015.
B) Reappointing David A. Armendariz (District 1) to the Ethics Review Board for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire April 25, 2015.
C) Appointing Rebecca Sibley (District 8) to the Citizens' Environmental Advisory Committee for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 31, 2015.
D) Reappointing Frank A. Quijano, Jr. (District 1) to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 31, 2015.
E) Appointing Edward E. Collins, III (At Large) and Moises A. Cruz (At Large) to the Joint City/County Citizen Bond Oversight Commission.
F) Appointing six members to the Municipal Golf Association-SA (MGA-SA).
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Applications for District Boards were submitted to the Office of the City Clerk who coordinated review of the applications with the pertinent City Departments and the City Attorney's Office. Qualified applications were forwarded to the respective City Council Offices for their review. A memorandum designating the Councilmember's appointee was submitted to the Office of the City Clerk for processing.
The Governance City Council Committee met on October 8, 2013, and provided a recommendation for the appointment of two members to the Joint Citizens Bond Oversight Commission.
The Quality of Life City Council Committee will meet on October 15, 2013, and provide a recommendation for the appointment of six members to the Municipal Golf Association - San Antonio (MGA-SA).
