SUBJECT:

City Council Project Fund (CCPF) Allocation



SUMMARY:

An ordinance awarding City Council Project Funds in the amount of $25,000.00 to the Northeast Corridor Revitalization (NEC) Committee to support the revitalization efforts in City Council District 10.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

City Council Project Fund was transferred to the Office of the City Council for administration in 2012. During this transfer several improvements to the program were made, including; implementation of streamlined application (online), an election year moratorium, and City Council approval for allocations exceeding $10,000 to an applicant for the same program, activity, events, good or service.

This ordinance awards a City Council Project Fund allocation to the Northeast Corridor Revitalization Committee (NEC) in support of the Revitalization Project in District 10 in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00. Funds for this allocation come from the District 10 CCPF budget. The funds will be used for the printing of mailers and marketing material to promote the revitalization effort. Funds may also be used for corridor improvements to include landscaping, landscape design, and tree planting to property owned and operated by the City of San Antonio. Funds will be managed and directed by the NEC.



ISSUE:

This ordinance awards City Council Project Funds to the NEC in support of the Northeast Corridor Revitalization Project in City Council District 10 in an amount not to exceed $25,000.



ALTERNATIVES:

City Council could choose not to approve these CCPF allocations.



FISCAL IMPACT:

Funds for the Northeast Corridor Revitalization (NEC) Committee to support the revitalization efforts are included in the Adopted FY 2014 City Council Fund Budget.
