Board Appointments
SUMMARY:
An ordinance appointing members to the Building Related and Fire Codes Appeals Advisory Board for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2015 and waiving the city code residency requirement in Chapter 2, Article IX, Sec. 2-529(b) for some members.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Infrastructure and Growth City Council Committee met on March 19, 2014 and provided recommendations for the appointment of members to the Building Related and Fire Codes Appeals Advisory Board.
ISSUE:
Board appointments require full City Council approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Office of the City Clerk will continue to advertise vacancies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
