City Council Project Fund (CCPF) Allocation
SUMMARY:
This ordinance awards a grant allocation to the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner through the City Council Project Funds Program.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This ordinance awards a grant allocation to benefit the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00. The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner provides a hot and nutritious turkey dinner with all the trimmings on Thanksgiving Day to those less fortunate. Held at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center, the Dinner currently serves over 24,000 residents in our community with over 4,000 volunteers who work to the make this event possible. This request serves as a reimbursement for costs incurred at last year's Dinner. The Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2013.
ISSUE:
This ordinance awards a grant allocation to the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose not to approve these CCPF allocations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This ordinance awards a grant allocation to benefit the Raul Jimenez Thanksgiving Dinner in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00. This allocation is made possible through CCPF contributions made by following City Council Districts:
