Scheduling a City Council Meeting on August 19, 2014 and August 26, 2014
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance will formally schedule a City Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 6:00 pm and on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 6:00 pm.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On March 10, 2014, the Department of Human Services released a Request for Proposals for Human and Workforce Development Services for FY 2015 and FY 2016. At the recommendation of the City Council, the City will hold two Public Hearings on August 19, 2014 and August 26, 2014 at 6:00 pm to provide applicants with an opportunity to advocate for their proposals. The first half of the 76 organizations that submitted proposals will be invited to speak on August 19, 2014 and the second half will be invited to speak on August 26, 2014.
ISSUE:
It is necessary to schedule the two City Council Meetings for the two Public Hearings.

RECOMMENDATION:
The Office of the City Clerk is requesting approval of this Ordinance.
