SUMMARY:
Appointing Daniel King (San Antonio Hotel & Lodging Association Category) to the Convention and Visitors Commission, Roxanne Trevino Silva to the Goal Setting Committee for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2015; and Timothy J. Trevino (Alamo Area Council of Governments Category) to the Airport Advisory Commission for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire March 18, 2015.  
 
 
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Economic and Community Development Council Committee will meet on August 5, 2014 to provide recommendations for appointments to the Convention and Visitors Commission, Goal Setting Committee, and the Airport Advisory Commission.  
 
ISSUE:
Board appointments require City Council approval.
 
ALTERNATIVES:
The Office of the City Clerk will continue to advertise vacancies.
 
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
 
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
