Amendment to Agreement with CTR Parking Systems, Inc. for Parking Revenue Control System at San Antonio International Airport


SUMMARY:

This Ordinance authorizes an amendment to an agreement with CTR Parking Systems, Inc. (CTR) for additional equipment and services to support additional parking lots for the Parking Revenue Control System (PRCS) in an amount not to exceed $580,961.00 at the San Antonio International Airport (Airport).


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

In October 2012, City Council authorized an agreement with CTR to replace and upgrade the existing PRCS in the parking garages and ground transportations facilities at the Airport. The new system, which was activated in November 2013, has provided customers with additional payment methods and real time parking data both in the garages and on-line. It also provides financial reports and revenue controls to track, reconcile and report all financial transactions. The contract value for the equipment and installation was $3,398,273.00. City Council also authorized an estimated $366,000.00 over a period of four years for maintenance, support, and additional spare parts.

Amendment
With the new Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CONRAC) beginning construction this year, new parking lots will be commissioned for use by passengers and Airport personnel. The PRCS equipment will need to be installed or modified in these parking lots. The proposed amendment will authorize the following changes:

* Green Lot: Relocate Ground Transportation equipment to the Orange Lot and modify two exits with new equipment.
* Orange Lot: Install Ground Transportation equipment from Green Lot
* Red Lot: Install new equipment
* Purple Lot: Install new and repurposed equipment
