SUMMARY:
Staff briefing of the development and implementation of the Pre-K 4 SA Strategic Plan with a specific update for the Partnerships and Communication goals [Kathy Bruck, Pre-K 4 SA CEO]
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
During 2014, the Board of Directors convened with Executive Staff from the City of San Antonio and Pre-K 4 SA and Consultant Tyler St. Clair to collaboratively develop a vision and strategic goals for Pre-K 4 SA. The group convened on January 6, 2014 and again on October 27, 2014. Since then, Pre-K 4 SA has worked continuously to develop a strategic plan including objectives, activities, and performance measures for the vision and goals.
ISSUE:
Pre-K 4 SA staff worked to develop a strategic plan that includes the original vision developed by the Board, objectives, activities, anticipated outcomes from said activities, and performance measures for tracking progress over time. Staff will revise performance measure targets at the start of each fiscal year beginning in August 2016. Staff will review progress of performance measures on a quarterly basis and provide status updates in the Pre-K 4 SA Quarterly Financial and Operational Report.
Staff will present the plan to the Board in three installments over the course of the April, May, and June 2015 Board meetings. This presentation will include a general briefing of the plan development, guidelines, and structure, with a specific update for the Partnership and Communications goals identified by the Board of Directors.
