Discussion and possible action on a recommendation to the Board of Directors regarding a request from Ronique Love for Hair for a grant in an amount up to $5,000.
SUMMARY:
Ronique Love for Hair is a business owned by Ronique Everett. Ms. Everett opened the business four (4) years ago to provide haircuts, coloring, waxing, quick weaves, braids, locks, and twists. The business is located at 2003 S. Zarzamora St, San Antonio, TX 78207, in the San Juan Gardens Live/Work units.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
WDC staff has reviewed the application that was received on April 3, 2015.
Ms. Everett is proposing to use $5,000 in grant funds to acquire equipment including new mirrors, salon chairs, and mannequins to display hairstyles and clothes and technology which includes a POS system. The total project cost is $10,000. Evidence of matching dollars has been provided to the WDC.
