SUMMARY:
Garmen Iron Arts has applied for a $5,000 grant for equipment. The company owned by Ms. Silvia Manchaca originally focused on art works but today designs custom made iron products such as fences, gazebos, handrails, stairways, balconies, steel forgings, construction structures, decorative ornaments, and manufactures anything that relates to steel. The business is located at 154 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78201.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
WDC staff has reviewed the application that was received on March 17, 2015.
Garmen Iron Works is proposing to use the grant to purchase equipment that they are currently renting for certain design projects. The total project cost is $10,61.85. Evidence of matching dollars has been provided to the WDC.
The WDC Project Committee reviewed the application and recommended forwarding to the WDC Board of Directors for review and approval.
