Discussion and possible action regarding a request from La Estrella Adult Daycare for a grant in an amount up to $5,000.
SUMMARY:
La Estrella Adult Day Care is owned by Mr. Chuck Ramon. The business provides a clean and supportive environment to qualified seniors and medically fragile individuals with the aim of slowing premature nursing home placement. The business is located at 2301 San Fernando St, San Antonio, TX 78207 in a building owned by the business owner.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
WDC staff has reviewed the application that was received on April 3, 2015.
Mr. Ramon is proposing to use $5,000 in grant funds for façade improvements to the building. Specifically the grant funds would be used for repairs, framing, and lighting of the business sign and improvements to the entryway to make it more appealing.
The total project cost is $10,000. Evidence of matching dollars has been provided to the WDC.
