Ordinances Canvassing the May 9, 2015 Election Results
SUMMARY:
A. An Ordinance Canvassing the Official Results of the General Election held on Saturday, May 9, 2015; and establishing Early Voting and Election Day polling locations for the Run-off Election scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2015.
Upon adoption of the Ordinance declaring the Official Results for the General Election; Elected Officials for the 2015-2017 Council Term will be administered/presented with the following:
* Certificates of Elections (Presented by the Mayor)
* Statements of Elected Officer (Administered by the City Clerk)
* Oaths of Office (Administered by the City Clerk)
The Drawing for Placement on the Saturday, June 13, 2015 Run-off Election Ballot will be conducted after the May 20, 2015 Meeting in Council Chambers. Canvassing of the Official Run-off Election Results will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 10:00 am in Council Chambers.
B. An Ordinance Canvassing the Official Results of the Special Election held on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
C. An Ordinance Canvassing the Official Results of the Charter Amendment Election held on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
The Certified Copy of the Charter Amendment Election Results will be provided to the Secretary of State to satisfy required filing requirements.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On Saturday, May 9, 2015, the City of San Antonio scheduled the City's General, Special, and Charter Amendment Election. Said Elections were ordered on January 15, 2015; February 12, 2015; and February 26, 2015, respectively.
ISSUE:
The City Council as the Canvassing Authority will canvass the Unofficial Election Results for the Saturday, May 9, 2015 General, Special, and Charter Amendment Election.
