Interlocal Agreement with NEISD for Hidden Forest Elementary School Drainage Improvements
SUMMARY:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of San Antonio and the North East Independent School District in an amount not-to-exceed $40,000.00 for construction related to the Hidden Forest Elementary School Drainage Improvements Project paid from the City's Storm Water Operating Fund.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
During storm events, runoff from a portion of the Hidden Forest Elementary School campus drains between two adjacent residential properties located behind the school campus which has resulted in past property flooding and damage during major storm events. There is an existing Drainage Right-of-Way with an underground storm water system (pipe) located between these two properties which has been determined to be undersized. As a result, City and NEISD have proposed a joint partnership to improve the overall drainage system which serves this area and will help alleviate future flooding to the neighboring residential properties.
On May 11, 2015, the NEISD Board approved the bidding of the project with an anticipated construction award of July 13, 2015.
ISSUE:
An Ordinance authorizing the execution of an Interlocal Agreement between the City of San Antonio and the North East Independent School District in an amount not-to-exceed $40,000.00 for construction related to the Hidden Forest Elementary School Drainage Improvements Project paid from the City's Storm Water Operating Fund.
