The following items were reviewed and discussed by the SAAC Public Art Committee:
 
§      Lackland Corridor Gateway Project
Action Taken: Artist Selection, including presentation of Concept Design
Artist: George Schroeder
Artist selection and presentation of Concept Design approved and recommended to move forward to the San Antonio Arts Commission for their approval, with integration and further consideration of the comments on improving concept design's base and material used.
 
§      Vice Chair Election
Eduardo Garcia was elected to serve as Vice Chair of the San Antonio Arts Commission representing the Public Art Committee.

§      District 2 Fire Station
Action Taken: Artist Selection
Recommended Artist: Cathy Cunningham Little
Artist selection approved and recommended to move forward to the San Antonio Arts Commission for their approval.
 
§      Houston Street Garage Temporary Exhibition Project
Action Taken: Briefing (no action)
Artist: Candy Chang (founding project artist)
Briefing on installing a temporary exhibit along the wall of the Houston Street Parking Garage facing Navarro Street at Houston Street.  Proposed Before I Die wall would be an interactive exhibit that would be a chalk paint covered wall board that people could write with chalk what they wish to do "Before I Die" installed by the Center City Development & Operations Department in coordination with PASA, SAPD and Centro San Antonio. No further action required at this time.
