SUMMARY
A briefing on the rules and procedures previously adopted by the City Council for the scheduling and consideration of items at City Council and Council Committee meetings.
BACKGROUND
Over the years, City Council has used various methods to place items on either a City Council agenda or Council Committee agenda. Most recently, in 2007, Council refined the process of Council Consideration Requests (CCRs) by ordinance (attached).
ISSUE
During the spring, various Council members posed questions regarding how items might be placed on Council agendas.
