SUBJECT: Disposition of improved city-owned property (the German-English School)
SUMMARY: Consideration of a Resolution supporting a request by the City of San Antonio to dispose of an improved tract of land containing approximately 0.9827 acres being a portion of Lots 4, 5 and 10, New City Block 155 in the City of San Antonio (the German-English School) owned by the City of San Antonio, located within City Council District 1.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City of San Antonio is requesting to dispose of a city-owned, improved tract of land containing approximately 0.9827 acre being a portion of Lots 4, 5 and 10, New City Block 155 in the City of San Antonio (the German-English School), located within City Council District 1. The property is located at 421 S. Alamo between The Marriott and The Fairmount.
The project has been canvassed throughout city departments and utility agencies and has been conditionally approved.
All requests to dispose of city property must be presented to the Planning Commission and City Council for final authorization.
ISSUE:
This Resolution will support a request by the City of San Antonio to dispose of an improved tract of land containing approximately 0.9827 acres being a portion of Lots 4, 5 and 10, New City Block 155 in the City of San Antonio (the German-English School) owned by the City of San Antonio, located within City Council District 1.
All requests to dispose of city property must be presented to the Planning Commission and City Council for final authorization.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Planning Commission could choose not to support this item; however, the city would have to maintain ownership of property that has been identified for disposal, and the property will not be placed back on the tax rolls.
