Briefing on the Comprehensive Plan Neighborhood Leadership Workshops.

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

A briefing to provide an update on the Comprehensive Plan Neighborhood Leadership Workshops on October 20 through October 22, 2015.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

The Neighborhood Leadership Workshops will provide an opportunity to solicit input from representatives of the numerous neighborhood associations, homeowners associations, and other community organizations in the San Antonio area.

 

 

ISSUE:

 

This item will provide a briefing to provide an update on the Comprehensive Plan Neighborhood Leadership Workshops on October 20 through October 22, 2015.

 

The objectives of this series of workshops is to provide information to neighborhood leaders and gather feedback on key findings of the Existing Conditions assessment; present and discuss the proposed policy framework, including draft policy and goal statements; and review and discuss preliminary neighborhood types as well as overall city form.  Participants will be polled on the potential neighborhood and district types.  The workshops will include open house style information sessions.

 

Each workshop will be approximately three hours in length with a two-hour meeting and two 30-minute open house sessions.
