Edvance Year 2 Evaluation Report

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

This item includes a briefing of Pre-K 4 SA's Year 2 independent evaluation from Edvance Research.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

This item will include a staff briefing and discussion of Pre-K 4 SA's Year 2 independent evaluation from Edvance Research. The purpose of this study is to report on the following items:

 

                     Demographic profile of children served in Pre-K 4 SA during Year 2

                     Pre-K 4 SA attendance

                     Family engagement in Pre-K 4 SA family events

                     Internal and External professional development efforts

                     Overall teacher reported classroom practices and teacher-child interactional classroom quality in the Pre-K 4 SA classrooms

                     Fidelity of implementation information for the two centers in the second year of implementation (North and South centers)

                     Results from the GOLD assessment that was administered to children by Pre-K 4 SA teachers over the course of the year

 

Interpretations of findings as well as limitations of the evaluation and recommendations stemming from evaluation findings will also be included in the presentation.
