SUMMARY:
This item includes a briefing of Pre-K 4 SA's Year 2 independent evaluation from Edvance Research.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This item will include a staff briefing and discussion of Pre-K 4 SA's Year 2 independent evaluation from Edvance Research. The purpose of this study is to report on the following items:
• Demographic profile of children served in Pre-K 4 SA during Year 2
• Pre-K 4 SA attendance
• Family engagement in Pre-K 4 SA family events
• Internal and External professional development efforts
• Overall teacher reported classroom practices and teacher-child interactional classroom quality in the Pre-K 4 SA classrooms
• Fidelity of implementation information for the two centers in the second year of implementation (North and South centers)
• Results from the GOLD assessment that was administered to children by Pre-K 4 SA teachers over the course of the year
Interpretations of findings as well as limitations of the evaluation and recommendations stemming from evaluation findings will also be included in the presentation.
