This item is to review the annual Call for Public Art Qualifications (FY16 Pre-Qualified List), categories, deadline, and selection process schedule.
Background Information:
The Department for Culture and Creative Development's Public Art division (PASA) opened the 2016 Call for Public Art Qualifications as of Friday, September 11, 2015. The Open Call seeks qualifications to be submitted from Public Artists, Art Inventory Services, Collaborative Partners and Portable Artworks. The deadline for submittal has been extended to October 23, 2015, after which a selection panel will evaluate each submittal and propose a recommended pre-qualified list to the San Antonio Arts Commission by November. A final recommendation will be voted by the San Antonio Arts Commission in December and City Council will take action to update the City's pre-qualified list in January 2016.
