Consideration and approval of alternative dates for November and December 2015 Commission meetings.
SUMMARY:
This item will allow for the consideration and approval of alternative dates for November and December 2015 Commission meetings.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Reoccurring Commission meetings are scheduled for 4:00 to 6:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month. In November the forth Tuesday is on November 24, 2015 which falls during the week of Thanksgiving. In December the forth Tuesday is on December 22, 2015 which falls during the week of Christmas.
ISSUE:
A quorum may not be available on the regularly scheduled meeting dates in November and December 2015 due to the proximity of these dates to holidays.
If the Commission elects to reschedule the November and December 2015 meetings, DPCD recommends that these meetings be rescheduled for 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 (third Tuesday) and Tuesday, December 15 (third Tuesday).
ALTERNATIVES:
The Commission could maintain the regularly scheduled meeting dates in November and December 2015 or move these meetings to an alternative date to help ensure a quorum will be present.

RECOMMENDATION:
If the Commission elects to reschedule the November and December 2015 meetings, DPCD recommends that these meetings be rescheduled for 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 (third Tuesday) and Tuesday, December 15 (third Tuesday).
