SUMMARY:

The Neighborhoods and Livability City Council Committee will review and recommend six applicants for appointment to the Municipal Golf Association - San Antonio (MGA-SA).  Eighteen applications were received of which six are for reappointment and twelve are new, from the following:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The MGA-SA Board of Directors consists of fifteen members, seven selected by MGA-SA, six appointed by the City Council and two ex-officio voting members appointed by the City Manager.  Terms are for two years with no term limitations.

 

ISSUE:

The City Council is required to approve the recommendation of the Neighborhoods and Livability Council Committee in order for the appointments to be effective. 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

The Office of the City Clerk recommends that the Committee make a recommendation for six (6) applicants to the MGA-SA for appointment at the City Council Meeting on December 3, 2015.
