Summary:
This item is to brief the Public Art Committee on a mosaic art enhancement being constructed as part of the 2012-2017 Elmendorf Lake Park Bond Project.
Background Information:
As a result of coordination between DCCD, Parks, TCI and the San Antonio River Authority in considering qualified artists for Elmendorf Lake Park, an opportunity has been identified to recommend an artist to create mosaic tile enhancements within the construction phase of Elmendorf Lake Park Project. Oscar Alvarado will serve as part of the construction team and will be installing several mosaic art enhancements designed by landscape architects’ Terra Design Group. The potential enhancements include benches, park entrances, and signage, with anticipated completion in Spring 2016.
