SUBJECT:
Establishing a pay adjustment for the City Auditor
SUMMARY:
This ordinance establishes a pay adjustment for the City Auditor.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City Council Audit Committee, at a meeting on February 16, 2016, evaluated the performance of the City Auditor, as required by the provisions of Ordinance 2008-11-20-1015. Also in accordance with that Ordinance, a report of the results of the evaluation was reported to the full City Council on March 2, 2016. Based on this performance evaluation, Council now wishes to provide for a 5% pay adjustment to the salary of the City Auditor to provide for a performance pay increase for FY15.
ISSUE:
City Council sets salaries and benefits, including specific pay adjustments, for its Appointees, by ordinance.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council finds it appropriate to provide for this pay adjustment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The salary and benefits of the City Auditor are included in the Operating Budget of the City Auditor’s Office.
RECOMMENDATION:
City Council finds it appropriate to approve a 5% pay adjustment to the salary of the City Auditor to provide for a performance pay increase for FY15.
