SUBJECT: Easement: Request to use City-owned property for a sanitary sewer easement

SUMMARY:

Request of a Resolution authorizing ESS Storage San Antonio, LLC to use a portion of a City-owned property located at 1920 S. Alamo Street for a sanitary sewer easement within NCB 1009, in Council District 1.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

ESS Storage San Antonio, LLC (Petitioner) is requesting a sanitary sewer easement on City-owned property located at 1920 S. Alamo Street within New City Block 1009 in City Council District 1, as shown on attached Exhibits "A'' and "B." The proposed sanitary sewer easement will provide sewer service to three lots located at 1964 S. Alamo Street, 1970 S. Alamo Street and 1974 S. Alamo Street. The closest sanitary sewer main line is located within Flores Street. The proposed sanitary sewer easement will consist of 4,256 square feet (.0977 of an acre) and will be approximately 12 feet wide by approximately 355 feet in length. The City of San Antonio acquired the property located at 1920 S. Alamo in June, 2015 for the Development Services Department (DSD) Parking Expansion Project. This project will add approximately 100 parking spaces that will be utilized by City employees. This additional parking at the Cliff Morton Development and Business Services Center (OneStop) will ensure all visitors can find parking.

ISSUE:

This resolution will authorize ESS Storage San Antonio, LLC to use a portion of a City-owned property located at 1920 S.
