2016-17 Academic Calendar
SUMMARY:
This item includes consideration of the Pre-K 4 SA 2016-17 academic calendar.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The current Pre-K 4 SA academic calendar aligns with the calendar most widely used by participating independent school districts.
ISSUE:
Pre-K 4 SA is proposing an academic calendar for the 2016-17 school year which aligns with the independent school districts. The full list of student/staff holidays is available in the attached calendar.
ALTERNATIVES:
If the Board does not approve the academic calendar, Pre-K 4 SA will revise the calendar based on additional academic calendars used in San Antonio school districts.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends for the Board to approve the proposed 2016-17 academic year calendar.
