Consideration of Applicants to the San Antonio Economic Development Corporation (3 Slots)
SUMMARY:
The Economic and Human Development City Council Committee (EHDC) will recommend applicants for three available slots to the San Antonio Economic Development Corporation (SAEDC). Applications received are listed below. The recommendation of the EHDC will go before the full Council on June 16, 2016 for approval.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Corporation consists of the Mayor, Chair of Economic and Human Development Council Committee, Chair of Transportation, Technology and Utilities Council Committee, and City Manager, who serve until a successor is named, and three (3) At-Large Citizens.
The Corporation promotes, assists, and enhances economic development activities for the City. The Corporation provides an additional tool for investment in Economic Development Projects and also provides funds for future opportunities.
ISSUE:
Board appointments require full City Council approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Council Committee’s decision and that same be submitted to the City Council Meeting on June 16, 2016.
