Street name change "Van Buren Lane" to "Pape Farms Lane" S16-002

SUMMARY:
S16-002 (District 10): A resolution recommending approval of a street name request to change the name of Van Buren Lane to Pape Farms Lane between Woodbury Dr. and Worldland Rd.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Council District: 10

ANALYSIS:
Application was received on April 21, 2016

Property Address Location: Generally located between Woodbury Dr. and Worldland Rd.

Street Segment Size: Approximately 550 Linear Feet

Notification:
* Notices mailed May 24, 2016 to eight (8) property owners abutting the segment of street proposed for a name change.
* Development Services Department Website Posting May 24, 2016
* To the present, staff has received no response from the adjacent property owners

Inter-jurisdictional Review:
In accordance with Section 6-675 of the City Code, the following agencies reviewed the proposed street name change request:
* Alamo Regional Mobility Authority;
* Bexar County;
* Bexar Metro 9-1-1 Network;
* City Public Service ("CPS") Energy;
* Northeast ISD;
* San Antonio Water System ("SAWS");
* TXDOT;
* United States Postal Service ("USPS"); and
* VIA Metropolitan Transit.

The City of San Antonio did not receive any objections or concerns to the proposed street name change from these agencies. The USPS approved the proposed street name on February 3, 2016, in accordance with Sections 6-675 of the City Code and 35-506(h)(1) of the Unified Development Code ("UDC"). (ATTACHMENT 2)

The fees associated with the request total $1,551.50. The fees apply to $1,000.00 application fee, $31.50 notification fee, and an estimated $520.00 for the manufacturing and installation of four (4) signs at two (2) locations. Public noti...
