SUBJECT:
A briefing on the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, Multimodal Transportation Plan, and Sustainability Plan, all elements of the City's Master Plan, and an update on the City's Annexation Program.

SUMMARY:
The SA Tomorrow draft plan documents have been available for public review and comment since May 2, 2016. Staff has collected comments and suggested revisions from the public, stakeholder groups, and the Planning Commission; working with all to draft revisions for the final plan documents. Staff will also provide a follow up to the June 13, 2016 B Session Annexation briefing.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The SA Tomorrow draft plans have been developed through a three-year process that included data collection and analysis, partnerships between City staff and expert consultant teams, technical expertise from stakeholders throughout the community and continuous public input. The plans address projected population growth by moving toward more strategic development patterns, increasing efficiency in transportation options and infrastructure, and improving equity and resiliency through measureable sustainability programs. Staff also was directed to review the Annexation Program through the lens of the Comprehensive Plan.

ISSUE:
Draft plan documents were made available to the public in May 2016. Since this time, staff has received proposed edits from individuals, community and neighborhood groups, industry groups, plan stakeholders, other city staff, and the Planning Commission.
