City Council Project Fund Allocation


SUMMARY:

This ordinance awards a grant allocation through the City Council Project Funds Program City Council District 10, in an amount not to exceed $12,337.11, to the Northeast Corridor Improvement Partnership in support of community events within the district. These funds support revitalization efforts for San Antonio residents and businesses alike.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Funds for the Northeast Corridor Improvement Partnership, a city-led initiative to attract new businesses along the commercial corridors of Perrin Beitel and Nacogdoches will be used for printing of mailers and marketing material to promote the revitalization efforts. In addition, funds will also be utilized for quarterly business development meetings. Now entering its third grant cycle with the beginning of Fiscal Year 2017, this current request of $12,337.11would bring the total allocation amount to the Northeast Corridor Improvement Partnership to $43,547.11.

ISSUE:

The City Council Project Fund was created in 2012 to support programs and activities that benefit education, community events or youth and senior activities. The Ordinance governing the use of CCPF requires that project awards that exceed $10,000 receive City Council Approval.

This ordinance awards a grant allocation to the Northeast Corridor Improvement Partnership in an amount not to exceed $12,337.11.


ALTERNATIVES:

City Council could decide not to approve these CCPF allocations.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This ordinance awards a grant allocation to benefit the Northeast Corridor Improvement Partnership in an amount not to exceed $12,337.11. This is funded through the General Fund Adopted Budget for City Council Project Funds. Contributions to the grant were made by the following City Council Districts:
