BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On May 20, 2014, Councilman Krier sponsored a Council Consideration Request (CCR) in which he requested that a study be conducted regarding the manner and extent by which the Mayor and City Council can feasibly participate in the bonus pay process at the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) and CPS Energy. On October 15, 2014, City staff presented background information and recommended options for City Council with regards to this issue at the Governance Committee.
During the Governance Committee meeting, there were additional requests for information. Subsequently, other requests have been made regarding compensation and salary for both CPS Energy and SAWS. During the Transportation, Technology, and Utilities meeting, discussion on this item will obtain feedback from the Committee regarding the scope of the information to be provided. Once the full scope is defined, staff will gather requested information and present findings at a future Transportation, Technology, and Utilities Committee meeting.
