Executive Summary
The property is located within the Richland Hills Unit-1 subdivision, which was established October 22, 1980 and includes a 20 foot platted front setback. The existing carport was built without permits, and was cited by Code Enforcement for building without a permit and for a violation of the front setback. The home is built at the 20 platted front setback and any addition to the front of the home encroaches in the setback. A carport constructed less than 19 feet will not adequately cover both of the owner's vehicles. A request for a carport to be on the front property line was originally heard October 3, 2016.
