Contract Amount Increases for Speech Therapy Services Contracts
SUMMARY:
Possible Board approval for Pre-K 4 SA staff to increase the current contract amount for Ability Homecare, Inc. from $150,000 to $200,000 and increase the current contract amount for Assessment, Intervention & Management LLC from $180,000 to $350,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
During the 2014 fiscal year, Pre-K 4 SA entered into an agreement for speech, physical, and occupational therapy with Ability Homecare, Inc. The original contract was executed with a contract amount not to exceed $50,000 for two years, with three one-year renewal options. On April 21, 2015 the first renewal option was exercised and the contract was amended to extend services until May 31, 2016. On November 3, 2015, the Board approved to amend the contract and increased the contract to $150,000 and extended the contract until May 31, 2018. Services provided under this contact are utilized by the East and South Education Centers.
The contract with Assessment, Intervention & Management LLC was originally drafted with an amount not to exceed $25,000 and an expiration date of May 31, 2015 with the option to renew for three additional one-year terms. Pre-K 4 SA issued a contract amendment to increase the maximum dollar value of the contract to reflect $49,999. On April 7, 2015 the Board approved to amend the contract to increase the contract amount to $180,000 and extend services until May 31, 2018. Services provided under this contract are utilized by the North and West Education Centers.
Pre-K 4 SA provides speech therapy services to students who are eligible for such services under State and Federal law.
