Welcome and introduction of new Housing Commission appointee Angel Jose Gonzalez II
SUMMARY:
This item is to welcome and introduce the new Housing Commission appointee from Council District 4, Angel Jose Gonzalez II.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The San Antonio Housing Commission to Protect and Preserve Dynamic and Diverse Neighborhoods was established by City Council on May 14, 2015 and includes a total of 15 appointed members. Five of the members, including the Chairperson, are appointed by the Mayor, and one member is appointed by each Council member. Appointees serve two-year terms.
ISSUE:
Following a seat vacated by the previous District 4 appointee, City Council approved the appointment of Angel Jose Gonzalez II on March 2, 2017 to fill the unexpired term, which is scheduled to expire May 31, 2017. The March 28, 2017 Housing Commission meeting will serve as Mr. Gonzalez’s first meeting.
