Appointments to the Airport Advisory Commission
SUMMARY:
An Ordinance reappointing Diane D. Rath (AACOG), Melinda Vasquez (Aviation Industry), Marsha Hendler (Travel & Tourism), Robert L. Hendricks (Community); appointing Aurelina P. Prado (Aviation Industry), John E. Kuderer (Business Community), Francisco J. Cruz (Business Community), John T. Norris (Community), Charles P. Serafini (Community), Ted E. Davis (Airport Business Lessee) to the Airport Aviation Commission for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire March 18, 2019 and waiving the requirement requiring a representative from the Airport Business Lessee category.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The Economic and Human Development Council Committee convened on April 4, 2017 and provided recommendations to appoint ten members to the Airport Advisory Commission.
ISSUE:
Board appointments require full City Council approval.
ALTERNATIVES:
The Office of the City Clerk will continue to advertise vacancies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
