SUBJECT:

Authorizing the execution of a contract and acceptance of funds from the Bexar County Medical Society Alliance in the amount of $2,500.00 to be used for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccinations and Cancer awareness education during "Back to School" Immunization Drives starting August 2017

SUMMARY:

This ordinance authorizes Metro Health to enter into a contract and accept funds from the Bexar County Medical Society Alliance in the amount of $2,500.00 to be used for HPV Vaccinations and Cancer awareness education during "Back to School" Immunization Drives starting August 2017.

The funds will be used for HPV Vaccinations and Cancer awareness education during "Back to School" Immunization Drives starting August 2017. Specifically the funds will pay the administration fees for up to 168 children eligible for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program so they may receive the HPV vaccination at no cost.

ALTERNATIVES:
