SUBJECT: Post-Solicitation Briefing for Mass Selection of Design Consultants for 2017-2022 Bond Program

On Saturday, May 6, 2017 voters in the City of San Antonio voted and approved the $850 million bond program including 180 projects. As the largest Bond Program in City's history, the 2017 Program addresses a wide array of public infrastructure needs throughout the City, from street and drainage improvements, new sidewalk construction, traffic upgrades, libraries and improvements to existing City-owned facilities. A portion of the bond program will be delivered using mass selection of design consultants for engineering, architectural and landscape architectural design professional services.
The Transportation and Capital Improvements Department advertised three (3) Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) on May 9, 2017 from qualified firms to provide engineering, architectural, and landscape architectural professional design services and construction administration services for 105 streets and drainage, park improvements, library, fire station, and facility projects included in the City of San Antonio 2017-2022 Bond Program. Statements of Qualifications for Architecture and Landscape Architecture professional services were due on Friday, June 16, 2017 and Statements of Qualifications for Civil Engineering professional services were due on Monday, June 19, 2017. TCI received 70 responsive submittals for the Civil Engineering RFQ, 31 for the Architecture RFQ and 22 for the Landscape Architecture RFQ.
