SUBJECT:
Reallocation of City funds from Presa Ramps at Highway 90 project
SUMMARY:
Consideration of the following items related to the $7,000,000.00 2012 General Obligation Bond Project for Presa Ramps at Highway 90 Project:
A.) A resolution abandoning the Presa Ramps Project, a 2012-2017 General Obligation Bond funded project, declaring as surplus bond funds previously allocated to this project, and other matters relating to the foregoing.
B.) An ordinance authorizing the reprogramming of $800,000.00 from the Presa Ramps Project to the World Heritage Underpass Art Infrastructure Project for sidewalk, lighting, and landscape improvements, located in Council Districts 3 and 5; authorizing the reprogramming of $2,000,000.00 from Presa Ramps Project to the South Presa Street Project from Southcross Boulevard to W. Boyer Street for corridor improvements including pedestrian amenities and enhancements, located in Council District 3; authorizing the reprogramming $3,000,000.00 from the Presa Ramps Project to the South Zarzamora Street Overpass Project at Union Pacific Railroad / Frio City Road, a 2017-2022 General Obligation Bond Program for development of an overpass, located in Council District 5; and authorizing the reallocation of funds from the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization approved project for the Presa Ramps Project as listed in the FY 2019 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to the South Presa Street Project from Southcross Boulevard to W. Boyer Street.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On May 12, 2012, voters approved the 2012-2017 General Obligation Bond Program which provided $7 million towards the improvements for the Presa Ramps project.
