Routine Airport Maintenance Grant Program at Stinson Municipal Airport
SUMMARY:
This Ordinance authorizes $100,000.00 from the Stinson Revolving Fund of which the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) will reimburse the City up to $50,000.00 for a grant as part of the Routine Airport Maintenance Program (RAMP) for improvements at the Stinson Municipal Airport.

Examples of past projects reimbursed by the program include the build-out of office space within the Terminal Building, and roof and sidewall repairs to a city-owned hangar. TXDOT does not require projects eligible for RAMP reimbursement to be identified prior to execution of the grant; however, funding of this item will provide for the sealing and painting of Runway 9/27 as well as window and door repairs to Hangar 3.
ISSUE:
This action is consistent with City Council's policy of improving facilities at Stinson Municipal Airport and utilizing federal or state funding when available.
ALTERNATIVES:

FISCAL IMPACT:
