SUBJECT:

Board Appointments by Mayor Nirenberg

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

Consideration of the following appointments to Boards, Commissions and Committees as requested by Mayor Ron Nirenberg for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2019 unless otherwise indicated below:

 

A)                     Appointing Tom Silliman, Councilmember Rebecca J. Viagran, and Councilmember John Courage to the Fire and Police Pre-Funded Health Care Trust Fund.

 

B)                     Appointing Reed Williams, Councilmember William “Cruz” Shaw, and Councilmember Clayton H. Perry to the Fire and Police Pension Fund. 

 

C)                     Reappointing Mayor Ron Nirenberg, Councilmember Rey Saldaña, Jim Campbell (Community Representative), Ina M. Minjarez (Community Representative), and Art Reinhardt (Community Representative) to the San Antonio Mobility Coalition (SAMCo). 

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

At the beginning of each City Council Term, the Mayor makes appointments to Boards and Commissions.

 

ISSUE:

Recommendations submitted require approval by the entire City Council.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

In order to proceed with said appointments, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval.
