SUBJECT: Consideration of Completed High Profile Solicitations

The following high profile projects have completed the solicitation process. These items are presented to the Audit and Accountability Committee for review prior to full City Council for consideration.
Common Use Passenger Processing System for San Antonio International Airport (Aviation) - Department issued a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals to provide the Aviation Department with a common use passenger processing solution that enables multiple airlines, service providers, or other users to share physical check-in or gate podium positions. The Common Use solution will enable sharing of low use gates to support the addition of new air carrier service and maximize the efficient use of existing airport assets. The solution will include a Resource Management System to effectively manage the allocation of gate and counter resources and facilitate dynamic gate assignments.

Due diligence conducted for the respondents to the above solicitations included a search of federal and state debarment lists, prohibited political contributions, conflicts of interest, delinquent City/County taxes, outstanding payments to the City, payment of state franchise fees as well as a search of the internet for pertinent business information. No findings were noted that would prevent the City from awarding to the selected vendor.
Staff recommends committee approval to proceed with scheduling this item for full City Council consideration.
