SUBJECT:
Appoint a minimum of three members, and an alternate member to the Planning Commission Nominating Committee.
SUMMARY:
In April 26, 2018, the terms of five (5) Planning Commission Technical Advisory Committee (PCTAC) members will expire. Additionally, the Planning Professional position remains vacant. The PCTAC bylaws require that a nominating committee of at least three members be elected by the Planning Commission at least ten (10) business days prior to the election of PCTAC members. At least one (1) of the Nominating Committee members must also be a current PCTAC member. Additionally, the bylaws also require that the Planning Commission appoint an alternate member to act in the absence of a regular member. Should the Commission appoint more than three members to the Nominating Committee, the bylaws stipulate that the total number of Committee members shall be an odd number.
RECOMMENDATION:
Appointment of at least three members and an alternate member to the Nominating Committee.
