SEP-HCP Application 18-004 -SAWS CWIP - North Segment
LOCATION:
This project is located within the Stone Oak area; within the city limits of San Antonio. The SAWS CWIP North Segment project extends northwest of the Terminus Site, and south of the Terminus Site, along Loop 1604, in northwest Bexar County, Texas.

The project will consist of the development of the north segment of the CWIP including construction of a new water treatment facility, water transmission mains, ground storage tanks, pressure reducing valves, and improvements to existing pump stations and pipelines required to integrate water supplied by the Vista Ridge Supply Pipeline into the existing SAWS distribution system. When completed, the Vista Ridge Supply Pipeline and CWIP facilities will provide about 20% of San Antonio's water supply. The Applicant has requested to participate in the SEP-HCP to mitigate impacts to the SEP-HCP Covered Species from construction activities. The draft mitigation determination detailing the project is attached and a summary of the mitigation needs is included below.
No acres of golden-cheeked warbler (GCW) habitat occur within the project area or within 300 feet of the proposed project route. The SAWS CWIP North Segment will require a total of 0 GCW conservation credits (direct impacts at 2 credits:1 acre mitigation ratio = 0 conservation credits and indirect impacts at 0.5 credits:1 acre mitigation ration = 0 conservation credits).
The SAWS CWIP North Segment does not have any black-capped vireo (BCV) habitat and will not require any BCV conservation credits.
The SAWS CWIP North Segment Project is located over Karst Zone 1 and Karst Zone 2 and totals 19.9 acres (10.3 acres within Karst Zone 1 and 9.6 acres within Karst Zone 2). The project is not located within any Critical Habitat Units n...
